Abstract
The emerging synthetic biology opened a new avenue in biotechnology, specifically efficient metabolic engineering by providing new technologies. Microbial cell factory construction, through metabolic engineering, has been gaining great interest due to the global concerns about depletion of natural resources and serious pollutions. In this talk, a few achievements in my lab to facilitate the advance of metabolic engineering from math modeling to synthetic RNAs will be introduced. In addition, drug development through systems biology to discover key genes in the progress of neurodegenerative diseases and to find drug candidates through computational approaches.
